Chalk Consulting, LLC is a woman-minority owned business established to help the non-profit sector, and academic and intercollegiate athletics departments within higher education institutions with their engagement and philanthropic needs.

Dr. Phoebe Chalk-Wadsworth, President & CEO

Dr. Phoebe Chalk-Wadsworth brings more than 30 years of distinguished experience in higher education and nonprofit sectors, where her strategic insight, expansive network, and donor-centric approach have consistently driven success. Known for her tailored solutions, communication expertise, and results-oriented leadership, she excels at navigating complex organizational needs to achieve impactful fundraising outcomes.

Since December of 2022, Dr. Chalk-Wadsworth has played a pivotal role in launching the capital campaign for the Fox Tucson Theatre. Additionally, she has raised funds for 88 Crime, developed philanthropic strategies for Tech4Change, St. Michael’s School and the University of Nevada Athletics Department. She has also led board engagement initiatives for nonprofits and conducted feasibility studies, most recently for SONG – The Mac Davis Center for Songwriting.

After a 31-year tenure at the University of Arizona, Dr. Chalk-Wadsworth embarked on new ventures in May 2022 founding Chalk Consulting, after having made significant contributions at the Eller College of Management, Intercollegiate Athletics, and the University of Arizona Foundation. Her expertise spans principal and major gifts, capital campaigns, annual giving, board engagement, public relations, and more. During her time at the University, she raised more than $29 million, participated in five capital campaigns, and fostered key relationships across internal and external stakeholders.

A Tucson native, Dr. Chalk-Wadsworth holds a bachelor's degree in psychology and a doctorate in educational leadership from the University of Arizona, along with a master's degree in educational leadership from Northern Arizona University. She is an active community leader, serving on various boards and committees locally and within the University of Arizona, and is a recognized speaker at national and local conferences.

Dr. Chalk-Wadsworth has served on many boards and committees in her local community and within the University of Arizona.  She has presented at different conferences including the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA), Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) and the National Society of Fundraising Executives (NSFRE) now known as the Association of Fundraising Professionals (AFP). She enjoys her current involvement with Angel Charity for Children, Lester and Roberta Smith Foundation, Arizona Sands Club, UA Hispanic Alumni Club, Wildcat Club, A-Club and the Bobcat Alumni Board of the University of Arizona.

Phoebe is married to Earl Wadsworth, a veteran and Cal Berkeley graduate who is a musician and teacher.
